Big mushroom - big space.  This wine coloured mushroom likes to grow in mixtures of wood chips, straw, garden shredding or commercial bark chippings.  Ideal for mulching around fruit trees, shrubs or borders.  Best sown in Spring although usually available all year round.  Adding Stropharia will help break down the nutrients, feeding the plants, retaining moisture plus you get the bonus of a tasty crop of mushrooms.
